Senate looks at prescription costs

The state legislature is looking at ways of making it easier for seniors to pay for their drug prescriptions. The Senate Committee on Public Health and Welfare is mulling over a number of proposals, including one from Senator Marvin Singleton of Joplin, which would provide assistance based on need. He points out not all Missouri seniors need a lot of help.Singleton calls his proposal a work in progress, and says it’s too early to attach a price tag to it.
