Holden testifies in Washington

February 1, 2001 By admin Leave a Comment

Governor Holden tells the Senate Commerce Committee in Washington it is essential the American Airlines buyout of TWA go ahead, without delay. The committee is looking into the impact airline mergers and buyouts have on competition in the industry. But Holden says the investigation should not delay the deal. He says Missouri’s economy would be devastated without the buyout. And he says this merger is unique, because without it, TWA would have gone out of business.
