The mayor of the small town of Slater, near Marshall, is lashing-out about natural gas prices. Missouri Gas Energy this week increased prices 44%. Peterson says small town folk are hit hard by the increase. Although she admits she doesn’t know entirely who is to blame, Peterson says the companies involved are putting greed above people’s well-being. She has written a letter to MGE to complain.
