Missouri Gas Energy is offering what advice it can to customers paying 44% more for natural gas today. MGE spokesman Paul Snider suggests turning the thermostat down even further, winterizing again, and using the company’s “level payment” program. That budget program spreads out gas costs evenly during the year. Snider insists the company isn’t making money on the increase, and regrets the situation as much as anyone. Prices are effective today.
