A woman’s body found by a southwest Missouri farmer has been identified. Police say the woman was Debra L. Johnston. Investigators say fingerprints, a missing person report, and an anonymous call helped identify her. She’d been beaten to death, apparently, although an autopsy is being done to determine the precise cause of her death. Christian County Sheriff Joey Matlock says his department is interviewing as many as a dozen people right now.
