Hearing planned on gas prices

January 20, 2001 By admin Leave a Comment

The PSC has scheduled a public meeting on the high cost of natural gas prices. The meeting will be held this morning at 11:00 in Kansas City at the Health Midwest campus. Commission spokesman Kevin Kelly emphasizes there isn’t much the agency can do. He says wholesale gas rates, which utility companies say are the source of this winter’s soaring prices, have been unregulated for ten years. Kelly says there could be other hearings but none have been scheduled.
