Tenured UM faculty face review

Post-tenure review is now a reality for the University of Missouri system. It is performance review for professors previously protected by tenure. Faculty who may not be cutting it get a 3-year plan to improve. Joe Moore, spokesman for the University of Missouri 4-campus system, says professors at the Kansas City, Rolla, and St. Louis campuses approved the plan. Columbia faculty voted overwhelmingly against the idea. The Board of Curators voted today to approve the plan anyway.
