A Taney County deputy sheriff has shot and killed a man after a chase that ended on a county road. The dead man is identified as Danny Beck, who was from Illinois. The sheriff says the deputy is on administrative leave while the incident is investigated by the highway patrol. The patrol says the shooting happened after Beck rammed the officer’s vehicle during the chase.
