Some of those testifying for John Ashcroft’s nomination as Attorney General say he’s just fine with black people. One of them is Robert Woodson of the National Center for Neighborhood Enterprise. Others, like St. Louis minister B. T. Rice says Ashcroft’s record is consistently against the interests and sensitivities of black people. The chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee has promised to make this the last day of the hearings.
