State Treasurer Nancy Farmer says the 19 months she worked as Deputy State Treasurer has prepared her well for the job, as she begins her term. Farmer adds her short stint in the St. Louis mayor’s office sharpened her appreciation of local government. Farmer wants to build on the education programs established by former Treasurer and current Governor Bob Holden. The programs provide ways for Missourians to save money tax free to pay for a child’s college education.
