At least one Missouri manufacturer is glad to see a bona fide Texan in the White House. Plant Manager Scott Bengal with the Stetson hat factory in St. Joseph says President-elect George W. Bush should help the industry. Bengal notes Bush is frequently photographed wearing his Stetson, both on the farm and when wearing a business suit. Stetson employs 130 people in its St. Joseph plant. It makes all of Stetson’s fur felt hats, producing as many as 900,000 of them a year.
