Attorney General-nominee John Ashcroft is back before the Senate Judiciary Committee today, answering questions about the positions he’s taken over the course of many years in the public eye. Ashcroft, whose views are considered controversial by some, says he understands when it is and when it is not appropriate to be an advocate for a cause. Ashcroft says he will enforce the laws, regardless of his views on certain issues.
