A 22-member commission is up and running in an effort to take a close look at all aspects of Missouri’s voting procedures. Secretary of State Matt Blunt says the panel, made up of 11 Democrats and 11 Republicans from all regions of the state, will take a very close look at voting equipment and possibly upgrading that equipment. Blunt says the equipment has become the target of closer scrutiny after the punch card problems in Florida. The commission will make stops in a half dozen cities throughout the state, making its recommendations to the Legislature on January 26th.
