SBU student charged in crash

January 10, 2001 By admin Leave a Comment

A Bolivar college student is charged with three counts of manslaughter because three people riding in his car were killed in a crash last month. The charges say Southwest Baptist University student Tyler Wasmer had a blood alcohol limit of .102 when his car hit a tree. That’s slightly above the state’s definition of drunk. Wasmer is not of legal drinking age. He’s 20. The university is considering whether to allow him to enroll for the Spring semester. Southwest Baptist has an anti-drinking policy.
