A man charged in Florida with murdering his wife has been jailed in Cassville, in southwest Missouri, and is awaiting extradition. Police say Jerry Baughman was originally accused of making false bomb threats against an ice cream store in Monett. Officers questioning him in Barry County say that while he was being questioned about the bomb threat, he said his wife had been murdered and her body thrown into a drainage ditch. That information helped police in Miami identify the decomposed body of a woman found in a canal.
