St. Louis Congressman Richard Gephardt says the proposed take-over of TWA by American Airlines might well turn out to be good news for St. Louis and Missouri. Gephardt says he has talked with officials from both airlines. He says he hopes to persuade American to keep the TWA headquarters in St. Louis. Gephardt says it appears American wants another hub, because congestion at O’Hare in Chicago has hurt its operation. He also believes the pending merger could give a boost to plans to expand Lambert Airport in St. Louis.
