Everyone seems to agree Missouri needs new highway construction, but lawmakers may not take the bull by the horns this year. Governor-elect Bob Holden says he’s not sure if he’s going to make a new road plan happen this session. He says he hopes the general assembly can hammer something out, but he’s not committing to it. Asked for his opinion on the decision Wednesday by the Missouri Highways Commission to divert more money to rural roads, Holden suggested he would need to look at the decision before he could comment.
