No comment from Senator Jean Carnahan on what she plans to do with the President’s nomination for U.S. Attorney General. It’s former Senator John Ashcroft. Ashcroft is the man lambasted by Carnahan’s late husband during their senate race, but also the man who graciously conceded the election to Mrs. Carnahan when Ashcroft lost. She says she’s waiting to see how Ashcroft answers questions during his confirmation hearings. Carnahan also says she’s open to the idea of testimony from Judge Ronnie White.
