Raytown ponders break on utilities

Raytown government leaders have begun work today on a proposal that could mean slightly lower heating bills. Raytown city alderman Greg Walters says the Board of Alderman tonight will discuss doing away with the city’s natural gas franchise fee. Raytown officials have also done away with the franchise fee on water. No action is expected at tonight’s meeting.
