The snowy December is costing a lot of money for the cities in charge of cleaning up the mess. Many parts of Missouri have seen record snowfalls. That means a lot of salt being used up, and more importantly, a lot of overtime hours. Snow removal supervisor in Kansas City, Greg Boline, estimates Kansas City spends $100,000 for every inch of snow it gets, and has already spent half its nearly $2 million snow removal budget for the year.
