Kruse works on national farm group

January 1, 2001 By admin Leave a Comment

State farm bureau president Charlie Kruse is a key player in developing the nation’s farm policy in the future. He’s one of 11 people on the national commission on 21st century agriculture, and now he’s the chairman of the national farm bureau’s farm policy committee. Kruse says a few things need to be improved, but the current farm bill is generally OK with the farm bureau membership. Kruse says farmers will be pushing Congress to provide supports when prices drop below certain levels.
