Wash U stroke research promising

December 20, 2000 By admin Leave a Comment

Researchers at the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis have been working on a new form of therapy for victims of stroke. It promises to rehabilitate the use of a partially-paralyzed arm. While the experimentation is still in its preliminary phase, Dr. Alexander Dromerick says it’s showing promise. It addresses stroke victims who have lost partial use of an arm from their stroke. The therapy is not useful for stroke victims expected to fully recover, or for those who have lost complete use of their arm.
