MU receives cancer funding

A $2 million gift from Washington D.C. for the University of Missouri’s Ellis Fischel Cancer Center will help the facility add research to its treatment of cancer patients. Senator Kit Bond says the money will help the center do even more for cancer patients. He wants to see top quality research along with treatment at Ellis Fischel. Bond says the $2 million will be used for planning and preparation for the research center.
