Some Kansas City religious leaders think their churches can help rid the country of bitter political feelings. Former Kansas City Mayor and Methodist minister Emmanuel Cleaver says most of the frustration from the election is directed at “the system,” and not individuals. He says any anger blacks feel should be re-directed towards changing that system. Cleaver says even though 90% of blacks voted for Al Gore, they must now get behind his opponent, President-elect George W. Bush.
