Missouri is dealing with another dose of nasty weather today, once again blowing in out of the Southwest. This time, though, its ice, not snow. Freezing rain pelted Springfield during the morning commute, causing dozens of drivers to slide off the road. It came just two days after the area was dumped with more than 14 inches of snow. Central and eastern Missouri escaped the worst part of the forecast freezing rain, as temperatures rose into the low 30’s during the afternoon, turning any freezing rain into a cold drizzle.
