Covington to leave Supreme Court

December 15, 2000 By admin Leave a Comment

The only woman to serve on Missouri’s Supreme Court is leaving the court at the end of January. Ann Covington of Columbia has been on the court for 12 years. She was Chief Justice from 1993 to 1995. She says she wants to explore several opportunities in the private sector. She considers the impeachment trial of former secretary of state Judi Moriarty among the court’s most difficult accomplishments.
