It’s a beginning–about the best thing retired Kansas City police colonel Jim Nunn has to say about Missouri’s new racial profiling law. He complains the record-keeping has been limited to police stops where a citation is issued. Nunn says a number of stops can occur now with no record-keeping, which he sees as a big loophole. Nunn says the original bill required officers to keep racial data for all stops, but was watered-down in committee.
