Bond pleased with election’s end

December 13, 2000 By admin Leave a Comment

Americans from coast to coast will be paying attention to what Vice President Al Gore has to say when he addresses the country tonight. He’s expected to concede the race for the White House and offer to support Governor George W. Bush. This follows yesterday’s U.S. Supreme Court ruling, one that pleased Missouri Senator Kit Bond. Bond says he was pleased to see 7 of 9 Supreme Court justices expressing constitutional concerns over the vote counting process in Florida. He says it’s good to end this long torturous path to the presidency. Governor Bush is expected to speak shortly after Gore.
