A private firm will be asking Missouri National Guard members about perceived discrimination in the Guard. The Guard has hired Systems Support and Research Associates of Virginia to review race issues. Jefferson City NAACP Chapter President W.T. Edmundson applauds the move.Allegations arose in Fulton when Captain James Tate alleged that a sergeant working under him expressed a racist attitude. The consulting firm plans to interview a third of the Guard’s 11,000 members.
