Child sodomy case began as toddlers

A 15-year prison sentence has been given a man from Springfield convicted of sodomizing two girls. The abuse started when the girls were 3 and 4 years old and continued for 11 years. Richard Mitchell will have to serve at least 85% of that sentence under state sentencing guidelines. The case broke open when one of the girls told her boyfriend’s mother about the situation.
