Missouri’s higher education system scored only a “C” in a national report card. The evaluation looked at things like affordability, completion rates, and student preparation. Affordability was Missouri’s Achilles heal. The state scored a “D+” in that area. It scored only average in many of the other areas. Dr. Joni Finney, Vice President of the National Center for Public Police and Higher Education, discussed the scores at the Governor’s Conference for Higher Education in Columbia.
