15 months ago, Leslie Minns was given the last rites of her church after suffering three strokes in 24 hours. This weekend, she’ll walk across the stage at Southeast Missouri State University to receive her college diploma. She was unconscious for several days, and paralyzed on her right side when she woke up. But she says love and support from family and friends helped her through her problems. Minns dropped out of school after suffering her strokes, but re-enrolled as soon as her health allowed, made up her work, and will graduate this weekend.
