Several newly elected sheriffs are gathered in Jefferson City for a course on how to be a sheriff. The Missouri Sheriff’s Association runs a 3-week course for sheriffs-elect. One of those, Richard Wrinkle of Laclede County is working hard to take it all in. He says they’ve covered areas like budgeting, jail management, and civil liabilities. This is the first year the association has run a 3-week course. It began as a 1-week course.
