The owner of a mountain lion that got out of its cage in the garage of a home has been charged with child endangerment in Morgan County. The charge against Wayne Oxford says the lion got out of its cage at Oxford’s Ozark Nature Center near Gravois Mills. It killed several dogs before it was chased back into a house. After the cat was locked inside the house, neighbors and officers learned a young boy was inside. He took refuge in an upstairs bedroom and was pulled through a window by rescuers. The lion was finally re-caged. Oxford could face additional charges relating to his care of mountain lions and bears at his home.
