Time for the deer to duck and run again. Hunters are stalking them again with the opening this weekend of the muzzle-loader deer season. The conservation department’s Ron Glover says the muzzle-loader season is less likely to produce hunting accidents than the regular hunting season. He says accidents are less likely because the ammunition doesn’t travel as far and there aren’t as many hunters in the woods. The regular hunting season resulted in more than 201,000 deer being killed.
