The only Republican member of the black caucus in the Missouri House has resigned from the caucus. Representative Carson Ross of Blue Springs resigned from the group after it passed him over for chairman. Ross was the vice chairman and if the group stuck with tradition, he would have been elected chairman. The caucus chose another member. Ross says he has no doubt the caucus passed on him being the chairman, because he is a republican.
