An inspection team from the Nuclear Regulatory Commission will be on the campus of Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau this week to conduct tests at a science building. Pam Alloway-Mueller of the N.R.C. says the purpose is to determine whether radioactive contamination found there in February has been cleaned up. Decontamination began in mid-August, and the schools now believes it has completed the task.
