Concealed weapons won’t be tolerated in Kansas City. Jackson County prosecutor Bob Beaird says his office is going to start cracking down on weapons charges because Kansas City has too much violent crime. They’re calling it a “three-strikes” program. People caught the first time will face a municipal violation. The second time state prosecutors will slap them with a felony. The third time it will be a federal charge. That charge will include a five-year minimum sentence.
