Banker says web fears unfounded

A Kansas City banker seeks to calm the fears of consumers considering the Internet for Christmas shopping. The Internet boasts a lot of advantages, but Mark Ford with Commerce Bank says consumers still worry about the safety of the net. Ford says VISA and Mastercard have moved to ease the fears by waving liability fees for Internet purchases that go bad. He says Internet shopping has become more and more secure and consumers should feel confident when shopping on the Net.
