Missouri House Republicans have elected a new leader, and have broken new ground doing it. For the first time, republicans have tabbed a woman to be their leader. And Representative Catherine Hanaway of Warson Woods says while she might be new, she doesn’t plan any changes from the confrontational style Republicans adopted last session. Hanaway dismisses the complaints of Democrats about the style. She says it well might have slowed down the legislative process, but she insists it made for better legislation.
