An infamous Missouri pyramid scheme is back again. The attorney general’s office this summer went to court against the Women’s Empowerment Network. Still says the new version is called The Original Dinner Party, but it works the same. People have to recruit new members to earn money–the classic hallmark of an illegal network. Still says if there is no product changing hands, only money, it is probably suspect. The attorney general is asking two St. Louis County women to quit working the scheme, which has also been called The Dinner Club and The Breakfast Club.
