Hunting accidents down

November 24, 2000 By admin Leave a Comment

Six hunting accidents were reported during the just-finished deer hunting season. Two of them were fatal. The conservation department’s Ron Glover, who keeps track of such things, says this year’s figures continue a downward trend. He says there were seven non-fatal accidents last year, and one fatal accident. He thinks the department’s mandatory hunter safety training programs are starting to pay off. Those programs began in 1988.
