A policeman in DeSoto is charged with threatening a fellow officer. Jefferson County prosecutor Bob Wilkins says Corporal Mike Werle has been released from custody. He was charged with unlawful use of a weapon, for supposedly wielding the weapon in anger at another officer. Wilkins says Werle pointed the gun at another officer’s head. Werle is free on bond and has been suspended with pay until the case is resolved.
