Former KC chief avoids harsh penalty

The prosecution and defense each got what they wanted in the drug case against a former Kansas City Chief–leniency. Tamarick Vanover got two months in prison, and two months of home detention for his part in a drug and stolen car case. Spokesman for the U.S. attorney’s office, Chris Whitley, says Vanover’s help made the case for them. He says Vanover was quick to admit what he did, and was completely truthful in all of his admissions.
