The mother of Jake Robel says she still cannot forgive herself on year after her son was dragged to death after a botched carjacking. The man accused in Jake’s death had just been released from a nearby jail when he allegedly carjacked a car in front of an Independence sandwich shop with the keys in the ignition. Jake became stuck in the seatbelt and was dragged to his death. Christy Robel appeared on the Oprah Winfrey Show, and says her mistake will haunt her forever.
