For the last two years, Ed Quick has been the president pro-tem of the state senate. He’s been nominated for another term by his party. But his party might not be in the majority in the senate next year. Or it might regain the majority status during the session, after special elections are held to fill three vacancies. Quick hopes democrats are able to hang onto their majority.
