One of the candidates for secretary of state is charged with hitting a postal worker with a box of candy. The charge is against Marvalene Pankey of Cedar County. She’s charged with creating a disturbance at the post office in El Dorado Springs, where she lives. If convicted, she could be sentenced to 30 days in jail. Pankey ran as a reform party candidate for secretary of state.
