Trent Green made up for the absence of Kurt Warner and Marshall Faulk by throwing four touchdown passes, leading the Rams past the New York Giants, 38-24. Green hit four different receivers, Roland Williams, Torry Holt, Isaac Bruce and Ricky Proehl, for scores, and Green also ran for a touchdown. He passed for 272 yards, and rushed for 54 yards. The Rams got off to a quick start when Dexter McCleon returned a fumble to the Giant one yard-line on New York’s first possession. Rams kicker Jeff Wilkins re-injured his leg on his first extra point after missing three games. Jeff Hall replaced him. The Rams are 8-2, and host the Redskins next Monday night.
