Condemned inmate James Chambers tells the Missourinet he is preparing for his execution, holding out little hope it will be stopped this time. A year ago, Chambers was to be executed, but an appellate court stepped in and granted a stay. Chambers doesn’t believe that will happen this time, and he says his biggest challenge is preparing his wife for HIS execution. He says she’s fought for 19 years and calls her his #1 supporter. Darlene Chambers is credited with the multiple appeals that have kept Chambers from being put to death. He killed a man outside an Arnold bar Memorial Day weekend 1982.
