Fire crews find bomb at meth lab

November 13, 2000 By admin Leave a Comment

Kansas City firefighters had more than a fire on their hands Saturday–they also found a bomb! Crews had responded to a faulty heater alarm on the city’s east side when they discovered the boobytrap. Kansas City police captain Rick McLaughlin says the apartment was in the process of becoming a meth lab. Two men were seen running from the scene as firefighters arrived, though no arrests have been made. The device was destroyed safely.
